  1. Before Facility Upgrade:
I went to Immersion Spa in Palo Alto again tonight. I’ve been maybe 10 times total. Tuesday night was a new time for me and it was definitely slower, but I always enjoy the opportunity to be naked and chill.

    Pros:
-They have access to the wet area and the pass is all day. It costs $40 (a bit expensive, but it lasts all day). You cannot come and go.
-Nudity is required and gender separated.
-The place is pretty clean and you see them picking up frequently.
-People are generally nice and will talk if spoken to.
-They have a cold plunge, hot tub, jade room, bathroom, open showers, traditional Korean showers, a sauna, a steam room, and a scrub area.
-They provide single use shaving equipment, tooth brushes, tooth paste, q-tips, lotion, shower soap, shampoo, and conditioner, robes if wanted, and towels.
    -They also have water available.
-They have a small seating area with two lounge chairs and four chairs.
-The scrub is amazing. Tip in cash is expected.

Tip: Ask for a second large towel when you check in. They’ll give it to you for free. I use this when I’m done and drying off after my final shower.

    Cons:
-Steam Room is blistering hot. I like it very warm, but I find myself having to leave every 5 minutes to take a cold shower to cool down.
-The area is small, but it’s nice. Would love a full seating area to rest in the wet area.
-The jade room has a light that flickers. That causes migraines for me, so I can’t enjoy it.

Again, I believe the place is pretty clean and the scrub attendant regularly picks up stuff left and replaces the towels with clean ones.

Busy nights: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They also close at 9 on those nights. Typical closing is 8pm.

  2. I’ve been to Immersion Spa a few times now. Despite being small and having the bare minimum, it’s still pretty decent and clean.
The spa is gender-segregrated, and no co-ed area. There is a jade room in the men’s area, with access to massage rooms.
There is a shower area, sauna room, a large hot tub, and a cold tub. The scrub area is in a little private area in the back, which I like.
The scrubs there are pretty good.
I think it’s a good jjimjilbang for people who want something a little quieter than the bigger spa in the area.
