According to their website this San Francisco Korean Spa: "Tucked behind a pair of wood doors in Japantown’s Minoru Yamasaki-designed Japan Center, Kabuki Springs & Spa has welcomed urbanites in-search of physical and emotional wellbeing since 1968. Here, in the great tradition of Japan’s famed sentos — public bathhouses — we elevate the act of bathing to an art. And with the heritage of our surrounding neighborhood and the inclusiveness of our city as our guide, we invite all to indulge in a sybaritic sojourn that speaks to the mind, body, and soul. Soothe, relax, and detoxify the body in our spa and bathhouse facilities, and be transported from the daily stresses of city life to a better state of wellness."

I went to Kabuki on a men's only day. The place was very nice. I used Uber to get there as I was worried about the parking. After entering, I paid for my pass and went to the locker room. The entire place isn't huge, but it's extremely nice. The locker room was snug and yet had everything I needed. I entered the main wet area and they have showers (with curtains and everyone uses them). Plenty of seating locations were available too. They have a huge "bade" pool and a warmer hot pool. The sauna was very large and had a lot of lighting. The steam room was also very large and had a "pull rope" shower head that doused you with cold water. That was very refreshing and meant I could stay in the steam room longer. The night I was there, they had two attendants working. They watched everyone very closely. They also provided water and a salt scrub you could use in the steam room. This is a nude only wet room except for the attendants. I enjoyed it and the quality was very nice. The one thing I didn't like is that anytime someone talked (even whispered), the attendants would hit a gong bell and shush you.
