kspa

Essential to the Kspa visit is the gendered wet areas. This is often the most used areas, especially when you’re not with a group of mix-gendered friends. Reminder: You must be completely nude to enter the wet area. We promise that no one cares and you’ll likely be comfortable within minutes.

Once you transition from the locker room into the wet area, you’ll notice showers by the entrance. Most spas offer two types of showers. You’ll see the standing shower (this is your typical American shower) and the seated shower (this is a traditional Asian style shower).

Step One- Bathe yourself

  • Since entering the wet area, you should now be fully nude. You’ll also have brought the towel provided by the front desk with you. Choose which shower you’d like to use and take a normal shower to clean yourself before entering the wet area.

Step Two- Hot Tub

  • The first thing I suggest doing after your shower is visiting the hot tub. You might also see various pools with different temperatures. Look for the warmest. Use the hot tub for about 15 minutes before proceeding.
  • Using the hot tub first is only a suggestion. You can mix and match these steps to suit your needs. All visits must start with a shower first.

Step Three- Steam Room

  • After your 15 minutes are up, head back to the showers and rise off before proceeding to the steam room. If you’d prefer to visit the sauna first, that’s ok too.
  • Spend 10-15 minutes (if possible) in the steam room.
  • Tip: If the front desk gave you a small towel or you see another small towel provided, take that and get it wet in the showers. Make it as cold as possible and use it to place over your head to prevent overheating. If you get too hot, exit momentarily to cool off in the cold shower.

Step Four- Sauna Room

  • After your time in the steam room, head back to the showers and rise off before proceeding to the sauna room.
  • Spend 10-15 minutes (if possible) in the sauna room.
  • Tip: If the front desk gave you a small towel or you see another small towel provided, take that and get it wet in the showers. Make it as cold as possible and use it to place over your head to prevent overheating. If you get too hot, exit momentarily to cool off in the cold shower.

The Cold Plunge

  • Use the cold plunge as you’d like. Some people like a cold plunge between the steam and sauna rooms. Some prefer to use it after both of them. It’s your choice and make use of it as you want.
  • Reminder: Rinse off before going into the cold plunge. This is polite and keeps sweat out of the water making it cleaner for everyone.

After you cycle though

Once you finish all of the options, you can go back through the cycle or visit your favorites. If your spa has a coed area, you can also use this as a break time to visit those options. You must wear the uniform provided before going into the coed area.
